In 1971 the Benson Company published a book on the history of the Speer Family to celebrate the group's 50th anniversary. No longer in print, you can read "Let The Song Go On," the story of Mom and Dad Speer and the path as their dream to spread the Gospel in song was realized.

"Singing' Time In Dixie" was a television program that aired in the early 1960s. Hosted by Hovie Lister and James Blackwood, the show featured the Blackwood Brothers, Statesmen, Rebels, Oak Ridge Boys, Stamps and Speer Family. This is the program that was used to promote the show.
